dc.description.abstract "Academic success is one of the main concerns in the field of education, if not THE main concern. In the never-ending quest to improve student success, an important pool of the scientific literature in this field focuses on one of its important predictors: engagement (Lei et al., 2018). Gener ally speaking, engagement represents personal investment in a task and includes behavioural, affective and cognitive dimensions (Fredricks et al., 2004). An engaged student devotes time and energy to academic tasks (Conseil supérieur de l’éducation (CSE), 2008). By conducting a study on the lack of engagement in physical activity, the authors of this article have come to reflect more specifically on college students’ per ception of time and their use of time. New pedagogical approaches are emerging from this ongoing reflective process. The purpose of this ar ticle is to present our initial reflections and to invite readers to pursue them... to see if an interesting vein of thought might emerge, leading to new ideas for pedagogical practices to be tested in all disciplines." -- AQPC fr
